Special Projects
I. Installation of monitoring cameras in strategic locations in the City of Dasmariñas

The City Government of Dasmariñas, in partnership with Dasmariñas Water District, took traffic monitoring a notch higher through the realization of the installation of ten monitoring cameras in major intersections and strategic locations within the city. These 360 degrees rotating cameras use fiber optics to transmit clear images of traffic situations, which can also be viewed live by the public through Cable Channel 4. With these cameras, officials are able to monitor not only traffic but also track traffic violators and various law offenders. These cameras can be found at:

1. Salawag Intersection
2. Salitran - Aguinaldo Highway Intersection
3. Camerino - Aguinaldo Highway Intersection
4. P. Campos Avenue, in front of DES
5. Gov. Mangubat-Aguinaldo Highway Intersection
6. In front of Waltermart
7. Congressional - Gov. Mangubat Intersection
8. In front of Kadiwa Market
9. DBB-F Intersection
10. Governor’s Drive - Aguinaldo Highway Intersection
II. Purchase of fiberglass adornment for the Public Park at Kadiwa

In December of 2008, Cong. Pidi Barzaga using his Pork Barrel purchased fiberglass Santa Clauses, elves and reindeers as adornment for the public park in Kadiwa every Christmas Season. For the past two years, these decors have brought immense happiness to both young and old residents of Dasmariñas. The project’s impact was deemed invaluable for no amount of money can buy the joy it has brought the hearts of the people especially the underprivileged.

Having been inspired by the outcome of this Christmas project, Cong. Elpidio F. Barzaga, Jr. and the City Government headed by Mayor Jenny Barzaga once again partnered to bring yearlong joy especially to children through the purchase and installation of fiber glass models of dinosaurs and other animals amounting to Php3,000,000.00 which was funded through Cong. Barzaga’s Pork Barrel. This experience aims to educate and bring expense-free delight to the city residents, which can be shared with family and friends.

III. Installation of Queuing System inside the City Hall

To improve frontline public service in the City Hall, the City Government installed queuing machines in the City Civil Registry Office, Business License and Permits Office, Payment Section of the Treasurer’s Office and at the Dasmariñas PNP police clearance issuance section.

IV. Independence Month Celebration

Every year in the month of June, the City Government of Dasmariñas relives the spirit of nationalism in every Dasmarineno as it installs bunting and displays the evolution of the Philippine Flag in all its center islands. This tradition makes June a festive month in the city and inspires Filipino pride.

V. Installation of CCTV cameras inside the City Hall

To guarantee safety and order in the City Hall and to discourage fixers and malicious transactions, the City Government installed 16 units of cctv cameras in and out the City Hall. Eight LCD television units were also installed to show the public that the City Government is transparent in its transactions and that the cameras are not to invade anyone’s privacy but more for the security of everyone.

VI. Installation of Christmas decors all over the City

Christmas Season is a much-anticipated event in the city, with the atmosphere of the yuletide in full swing. All center islands are decorated with lanterns and rope lights, Fiberglass Santa Clauses, elves and reindeers are installed in trees and parks, big acacia trees are adorned with hundreds of native lanterns. The whole city lights up to bring happiness to all young and old.
